FAQ
1
Are sessions confidential?
Everything we discuss in therapy is strictly confidential. The only time I am professionally obliged to share information with others is if I am concerned that there is an imminent risk to your safety or that of others. In that case, I would do so with utter respect for your integrity. Confidentiality and trust are absolutely central to what I do, and, equally, you are never obliged to share something with me.Â
2
What do I do if I feel suicidal or am in urgent need of psychological support?
If you are in urgent need of psychological support, please go to your local hospital or contact your national emergency services hotline. Your local hospital will have doctors equipped to support you in times of extreme crisis and you should not be afraid to turn to them when things get really overwhelming and you feel you might act on suicidal thoughts.
3
How long does therapy usually take? How often will we meet?
How many sessions are needed depends very much on the individual or the couple – your circumstances, and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. In terms of frequency, some clients prefer to meet weekly, others fortnightly or monthly. To get started, I encourage some regularity, but it is very much up to you.Â
4
What if I need to cancel?
I ask you to give me 48 hours' notice for cancellations, otherwise you will be charged at the standard rate. This is because I need time to offer your slot to other clients.Â

Who do you work with?
I work with adults, age 18 and older. I work with families and couples, too.
